You need to showcase yourself & your business on your social media and get engaging with potential customers now.
You may have lots on your waiting list but you need to have a consistent number of customers even after the first month’s mad rush. Try some of these ideas to help get organised now:
5 business tips to help before you open again after lockdown:
1. Make sure you know who your ideal client is.
You need to be attracting the right people on your social media and into your business. Check out my blog – why is a client persona so important? To help you with this, I have also added a persona form that you can complete. I find having everything written down helps remember your key points and you can also refer back to this when writing your content for your socials. If you write your content for your ideal client, you will attract more of them.
2. Update your social media.
Make a plan, don’t just do random posts and hope to get lots of likes. You must engage with others too. It is called SOCIAL media, after all. If you can plan, create and schedule all your content ready for next month then you don’t need to worry too much when you open your business. This way your still attracting clients while your getting through the mad rush.
* Quick tip – if you engage with others just before & after your post is uploaded, it helps increase your engagement. If anyone comments on your post reply as soon as you can.
3. Learn something new
If you have the time why not practice or learn something new that you could offer your customers to add extra value. Or if you feel you need some guidance on your Instagram I have a fantastic offer on my Instagram training for March 2021 only £79 (usually £99). Your can contact me here or via Instagram. More training info here.
4. Update your website
If you have one. Could any parts be updated or improved on? Do you need to put your prices up? Adding regular blogs on your website helps people to find you too. Research what people are searching for (to do with your industry) and write about that or give top tips.
If you don’t have a website, get one! A website will help you to get discovered when people are searching online. Using relevant key words that you know people are searching for helps improve your visibility.
5. Do your books
Now, most people hate book keeping and tax return but it must be done. I feel so much better that I can tick it off my list. Now is the perfect time to make sure you are up to date so have less to do later. I try do my books every month then it doesn’t feel like such a big job.
It has been a hard year for us all.
No matter how you feel, get up, show up and never give up! You can do this.
